Who we are

XAOS STUDIO is a candle house based in London, United Kingdom. For any question about your data, write to us at info@xaosstudio.com.

What we collect

When you join our waitlist or newsletter, we collect your name and email address. When you place an order, once the store opens, we also collect your billing and delivery address, contact details and order history. We do not store full card details; payments are handled by our payment providers. We also collect basic technical data, such as your device and activity on our site, through cookies and similar technologies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to contact you about our opening and to send you the marketing you have asked for (consent), to fulfil and manage your orders (performance of a contract), to keep records and improve our service (legitimate interests), and to meet our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers that help us run the house: our email platform Klaviyo, our store platform Shopify, and, once the store opens, our payment and delivery partners. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where data is transferred abroad, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK approved standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you wish to hear from us, or as long as needed to manage your orders and meet our legal duties. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.
